ABU DHABI

Abu Dhabi :  is  rich  not only  for  their  oils  but  also  traditions and  cultures and known  for being  hospitable  and  respectful.  It  is  the  capital city and the largest emirate in the  country.

When  visiting  Abu Dhabi,  don’t  forget  to stop by in their well known Cultural Landmarks:

White Fort : Al Hosn Palace, commonly known as the White Fort, dates back 200 years.   It is the oldest  building  in  Abu Dhabi and home of the former  ruling family.  The  palace  is  also home  to  the Cultural  Foundations  where many interesting exhibit of  traditional artifacts and photographs are displayed.

Heritage Village : The  village is situated in the middle of Abu Dhabi and living exhibitions of lifestyle and traditions of Bedouin and other cultures.

Liwa Oasis : One  of the largest  oasis  in  Arabia and  a  gateway  to  Rub  Al Khali or Empty Quarter.  The  place  makes  a  refreshing  change  with  freshwater pools  and  date  plantation.

Jabel Hafit : This craggy mountain rising steeply from the surrounding desert close to Al Ain. An  area noted  for  its flora  and fauna. The mountain can be accessed by excellent roads up to the summit.

Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium :The 1969 zoo houses an extremely large and varied collection  of wildlife from all over the world. Known  for  its display of Arabia's indigenous wildlife include the spectacular Arabian Oryx.

 

 

 

AJMAN

AjmanThe  smallest  of  the  seven  emirates  in terms of physical size, but blessed with rich cultures  both traditional and modern. Dhow buildings are still important industries in the land.

Dhow Yard :  From  the north side of the Creek is a short drive from the city center where you can find the most active dhow-building yards in the country.

Ajman MuseumIt  was  opened in 1981 in a lovely old 18th century fort which served as the Ruler's  palace and  office.  You  will  be fascinated with their rich heritage and   cultures while visiting the museum.

DUBAI

Dubai :  One  of  the  most  beautiful,  modern  and  well  kept  city  of  the   world.  You  will experience everything from rugged mountains and awe-inspiring sand dunes to sandy beaches and lush green parks from dusty villages to luxurious residential districts from ancient houses. The Emirate is both a dynamic international business center and a laid- back tourist escape.

 A few interesting places you should go are:

The Creek  :  T his  historic  focal  point of life in Dubai. It is very interesting to see the color and the bustle of the loading and unloading of dhows coming from distant places of India  and East Africa.

Bedouin Village :  This  village  lies  outside  Dubai.  Provides  an  experience  the traditional desert way of life and may include camel-riding lessons. Experience a different desert safari at Al Maha in  a  unique luxury resort in 3,300 acres of dunes off the highway between blankets, rugs, beads and a variety of rural wares spread on the ground.

Old Bastakiya District :  A  step  back form the days before electricity  and  air-conditioning,
 were traditional courtyard were cooled  by  wind  towers. It is the bustling market and cultural
center  and  the  district  is  filled  with  traditional  courtyard  houses  and classic with towers,
which offer a charming glimpse of how Dubai once looked.

The World Island :  A  man- made  archipelago  of  300  islands constructed in the shape   of a world map, four kilometers off the coast of Dubai. They are built mainly using sand dredged from the sea.

Burj Al Arab : One  of  the  rarest  jewels  that can be found in the world. One of the most luxurious hotels and earned the name of being the first 7 star hotel, and so far the tallest hotel in the word. The meaning  of Burj Al Arab in Arabic is "Tower of the Arabs" and become the iconic symbol of Dubai.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fujairah

Fujairah : With  a  breathtaking coastline it is the only emirates situated entirely along the Gulf of  Oman. A stunning  place  of  considerable  natural  beauty  of  mountains  and valleys sweep down to the settled palm-fringed coastal plain. If you are looking for adventures  and relaxation,

Fujairah will keep you entertained with their breathtaking beaches you love to see:

Fujairah Heritage Village :  This village has a good selection of traditional houses and fishing boats made from palm fronds providing   an interesting backdrop to its living reconstruction   of traditional life in the east coast.

Ain Al Madhab Gardens :     Also  called  the  National Park,  with   an  extensive  park    with playground   and  a  heritage  village  around  the  ruins of an old fort where traditional customs, pottery and utensils are on display.

Ra's Al-Khaimah

Ra's Al-Khaimah :  Is the most northerly emirates on the UAE's west coast.  It  is  close to the boarder of Sultanate  of  Oman. This land is rich in agricultural supplying fruits and vegetables to the other emirates. Fishing, agriculture and seafaring are still important occupation today.

 Aside from stone quarrying in the mountains and oil production from the off shore check also their beautiful destinations like:

National Museum : A fascinating fort situated behind the Police Headquarters and a residence of  a  ruling  family  until  the  early  1960's.  The  museum  houses  an  intriguing collection of archeological and ethnological artifacts.

Old Town :  If  you  want  to  relax  your  tired  feet and condition your mind, old town offer a delightful  area  to  take  a  walk  and  to  relax  your  body  and  mind  and  enjoy  the leisurely atmosphere of a traditional centre. Worth while to visit the souqs that near the fishing fort.

Umm Al-Qaiwain

Umm Al-Qaiwain:  This  tiny  emirate  is  situated  between  sharjah  to  the  south-west     and Ra's Al Khaimah  to  the  north-east,  a 10 minutes drive from Ajman. The city is also witnessed the boom in modern development with its buildings, roads, parks and other historical sights.

While visiting the place drop by:

Al Siniyyah Island :  Across  the  creek  of  Umm Al-Qaiwain is the lovely haven for the birds. The bird sanctuary is noted for its mangrove swamps, representing an extremely delicate and   a fast-dwindling ecosystem.

Dreamland Aqua Park :  A huge entertainment complex sprawling over 250,000 m2 along the coast  in  dreamland.  A  souk  to  take  care  of  your  shopping  needs, restaurant and fast-foods outlets, a collection of water games and rides make it an ideal family destination.
