Ajman : The smallest of the seven emirates in terms of physical size, but blessed with rich cultures both traditional and modern. Dhow buildings are still important industries in the land. Check out for this beautiful place while you were in Ajman: Dhow Yard : From the north side of the Creek is a short drive from the city center where you can find the most active dhow-building yards in the country. Ajman Museum : It was opened in 1981 in a lovely old 18th century fort which served as the Ruler's palace and office. Fujairah : With a breathtaking coastline it is the only emirates situated entirely along the Gulf of Oman. A stunning place of considerable natural beauty of mountains and valleys sweep down to the settled palm-fringed coastal plain. Ra's Al-Khaimah : Is the most northerly emirates on the UAE's west coast. It is close to the boarder of Sultanate of Oman. This land is rich in agricultural supplying fruits and vegetables to the other emirates. Fishing, agriculture and seafaring are still important occupation today. Aside from stone quarrying in the mountains and oil production from the off shore check also their beautiful destinations like: National Museum : A fascinating fort situated behind the Police Headquarters and a residence of a ruling family until the early 1960's. The museum houses an intriguing collection of archeological and ethnological artifacts. Umm Al-Qaiwain: This tiny emirate is situated between sharjah to the south-west and Ra's Al Khaimah to the north-east, a 10 minutes drive from Ajman. The city is also witnessed the boom in modern development with its buildings, roads, parks and other historical sights. While visiting the place drop by: Al Siniyyah Island : Across the creek of Umm Al-Qaiwain is the lovely haven for the birds.
